They should show the "scare" ending like this version...
Then cut to people watching that movie in a cinema that we just watched.
So it's a film about people watching a movie that are watching a movie about watching a movie...and we are watching that movie.

If they remade it, both the actual audience and the audience in the film would be too busy texting to notice the woman bursting through the screen and turning into a demon.

They could include that as a scene in the movie. Someone is too busy texting to notice the demon possessed woman burst out of the screen, so she snatches their cell phone out of their hand and bludgeons them to death with it (if that's even possible). It would make for a pretty funny satire in my opinion.
