Music is a good reason why there shouldn't be a remake

Much like horror today, Demons was catered to the teens with it's music, hot girls, punks, gore, and flimsy but exciting story. For some reason this just worked better in the 80's and I really think music is a big part of the Demons movies.
I like how they went with heavy metal for the first movie and then went in a Punk and New Wave direction for Demons 2.

I loved most of the tracks they used in the first movie. Saxon, Pretty Maids, etc. And even though the second movie moved away from the Heavy scene, it still worked really well for the movie so it did with the choices Bava and co made for the score. It was 80s music. And the 80s scene is untouchable so it is. Be it movies or music. The crap they would use today would be all this Lamb of God and Mastodon type stuff. Not my cup of tea to be honest. Also the ambient score from Simonette (sp?) is perfection as well. It haunts every scene it's used in. I can imagine the crap they would use today. All these so-called modern metal bands with vocalists that roar into the mic. Either than or Nickleback or Stinkin Park (sorry I mean Linkin Park) to appeal to the teeny bopper fools out there who think they are cool and think they are Metal fans. Eff that!.

If Bava and Dario got together and finally made a proper Demons 3, I have to wonder what music they would go with. There is some great music out there currently but you just have to look beyond whats spoonfed to the masses and dig deep.

I don't know about the music of today being used. Not unless it was using bands of today that keep aliove the flame of the old style. White Wizzard, Enforcer, Bullet, Accept (not a new band as they had Fast as a Shark in the first Demons movie), Amon Amarth (just listen to the guitars on the song Tocks's Taunt: Loke's Treachery), Charon, Evereve (the newer stuff). There is bands and solo artists out there worth taking a look at. But most would be overlooked sadly.

I actually think there are retro-metal bands out there that could arguably fit their music into a Demons remake. The Sword is a band that I kind of think could pull it off.

I think Rob Zombie's musical style would also fit well if they were to make a remake.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

On a related note, is there a soundtrack (prob unofficial I imagine) with all the artists? I have the score, but would LOVE the soundtrack!

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I think this would be a good a fit for a third sequel.
