At the very beginning John suggested flying to an island and Sarah totally dismissed it like he was giving up on humanity by doing that. Her quote was something to the effect of "how could we do that in the middle of all this?"

I was thinking, "THIS is exactly why we should fly to an uninhabited island."

And guess what... they did that anyway.

first thing i thought of after hearing john suggest this was zombie's live under water so that could still prove dangerous.

Yeah...she probably thought that they should stay and fight, try to find a solution, or something.
