I enjoyed it but it would have been better if it was on for longer and showed how they got away in more detail and shown more scenes in above ground at the start

The ending is perfect. Either they literally got away in the chopper ... Or the end is just a dream as Sarah is dying or sleeping.
The film starts with a dream of horror so the scene of peace at the end could be another dream to book end the movie.
Seems clear she isn’t dying tbh, zombies couldn’t get in the chopper and even close the door behind lol.
