hear, hear. i love that someone can start a topic like this without getting bashed, that proves the fan base of this is more civilized than the zombies. some thoughts reading around this board, of course they didn't deserve to die, sure there were some pretty rough fellas, but you can obviously read some conscience in them, and i agree, how is this a 7? i don't recall "dawn of the dead" as i only saw it once many years ago, but both my buddy and i thought it was awesome, some plot threads seemed to would have been able to evolve further in this, actually i thought the dialogue talky bits was above the rest of the movie, the hands on the wall was a shocker though included in the trailer, funny how the opening credits looks like that of a regular 1980's flick, this was a bit too much all from the start and not as building up as the 1968 flick, it also feels more juvenile and many of the roles acts like tough punks (which is also mentioned on the board before), no not like the 1968 movie at all, where did that crocodile in the city come from anyway, i like the setting though, it's not typical of horror, day time, sunny skies, palm trees with a good female lead, while the doctor should instead of dr. frankenstein have been referred to as dr. snuggles, and in his laboratory, was the purpose also for the viewers to throw up instead of it being suspenseful, i just don't get horror flicks made in the last few decades, anyway the (not all that bad) army guys followed by zombies was so much part of the end i forgot the rest of the cast, by the way, this put more focus on the zombies than the 1960's flick, and the locked out bit was a bit reminding of the superior "night of the living dead".
