Just watched it for the first time! EPIC 80's awesomness!

And in the days of blood squibs, and good action! Not CGI crap!

Over the top action, cheesy puns (That are actually funny) and good old Arnie! Gotta say I loved it! Great entertainment!

My first laugh came when Arnie was asked "What did you do?" Arnie "I let him go"

I envy you. You just enjoyed from this masterpiece for the very first time...

I laugh at your opinions, and if Matrix was here, he'd laugh too.

I've loved this movie since I was 8 years old and I first saw it. Great action movie. Great one-liners.

So many cool scenes. "If you want your kid back, you gotta cooperate right?" "Wrong!" BOOM!

reply

So glad you could make it!

I've watched the movie probably over 50 times and not once did it feel like a waste of my time.

Oh 'Commando'....oh The 80's!!!

The only movie, and the only decade, where you could get away with snapping a guy's neck on a crowded airplane, nobody will see you, and you can just say "he's dead tired" to the flight attendant, and go on about your business.

Good times...

Man the 80's were great!!! Arnold, Stallone, Van Damne, Norris, Seagal, all in their prime. Their movies were cheesy fun and were great popcorn movies...

One thing I really enjoy about 80's action movies are they way they're structured. And 'Commando' is a perfect example. First the intro where the harmony is established by Arnie and Kid eating ice-cream, feeding a doe and general mountain fun. Then the conflict where Kid is taken away and awful conditions for her safe return are presented. After that we have this clearly defined middle where the odds are stacked against our hero but we are shown just how resourceful he is. Then comes the end game. We have no doubt as the audience that the end is coming when we see Arnie climb unto the beach and start gearing up. Finally the harmony is restored. Kid is returned and Arnie goes back with a hot woman.
Perfect.

Officer, I've had a doozy of a day...
