daughters? The whole movie only focuses on Harpo...But Celie brushes his daughter's hair? So where did they all go? And who are the little girls at the Easter table? Sophia's?
sharethe movie is not clear at all about all the kids u see thoughout the movie. for a long time i thought Celie & Albert had all those kids. but they didn't have any children together.

Squeak was pregnant when Sofia came home for Christmas so I assumed that some of those kids at the table were Squeak's and Harpo's.
I always wondered what happened to Shug's and Albert's kids. Albert's father mentioned them when Shug was sick, saying that non of her kids had the same daddy and Albert then said "All Shug's kids got the same daddy. I can vouch for that." so whatever happened to them? I know the book mentioned what became of them but the movie never said anything except the grandparents were raising them but by the time the movie ended, those kids would have been fully grown. I did always wonder if the lady in the choir singing "God's tryna tell you something" was one of Shugs kids.

I believe the young woman singing in the choir was Shug's daughter, you can tell by the way they panned the camera on her and her reaction when Shug sung in church.

I think maybe some of them were present at the dinner table scene, but they seemed to young to be Albert's children.
Most likely reason is that they all moved out at some point. Towards the end Albert mentions that his house is empty and all the children are gone so they probably moved out.
