WE NEED TO GET A SPECIAL EDITION FOR THIS GREAT FLICK!

WITHOUT A DOUBT THIS IS CHUCK'S BEST FILM,AND BIGGEST,AND BEST REVIEWED BY CRITICS,AND IT IS ON ALL THE TIME ANYWAY,SO WHY DOESN'T ANDREW DAVIS TRY TO MAKE A SPECIAL EDITION DVD FOR THIS?MAYBE EVEN GET CHUCK AND DENNIS FARINA TO DO A COMMENTARY FOR THE FILM?ALSO HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT ANDREW DAVIS HAS THE SAME SUPPORTING CAST IN THIS AS SEGAL DID IN ABOVE THE LAW?INCLUDING THE BAD GUY SILVA AS WELL?

Good point. After all, this movie was a box office hit, so I don't see why not. A commentary by both Andrew Davis and Chuck Norris would be terrific, as well as another one by writers Dennis Shryack and Michael Butler. If they had the chance, perhaps they could have given more details about Clint Eastwood's connection to the project.

My understanding was Code Of Silence was originally written as a Dirty Harry movie, but Clint rejected it. So it was eventually rewritten as a Chuck Norris vehicle.

Its original name was Chain Reaction, when Clint was considered for the movie.

This movie helped put Andrew Davis' career on the right track. He caputred the flavor of Chicago in this one. This was gonna be an actioner for Clint Eastwood (not another "Dirty Harry" film as it wasn't made by Warner Bros.) but he turned it down to make the western "Pale Rider" instead.

A Special Edition DVD of this fine film would indeed be nice. I would love to hear a commentary from both Andrew Davis and Chuck Norris.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
