What is the ending to Mrs. Peacock's question that begins 'You mean...'?

In the last two endings, Wadsworth says that the police are not coming and Mrs. Peacock in response starts to ask "You mean..." but never finishes. In both scenarios, the rest of the question and its answer are automatically understood. I'm not sure what the implication is.

In the second ending, I take it to mean she realizes that Wadsworth didn't call the police because he figured one of the guests would take care of Boddy once everyone found out who he was. In the third ending, I take her "you mean...Oh my God, of course!" to be that she realizes that since Wadsworth is actually the blackmailer, of course he's not going to call the police on himself.

These are simple enough answers while staying in tune with the plots. Thank you.

Yeah, thanks a lot for clearing that up for us staticline1! That has always confused me too as what she meant when she said that. Now I know and especially what she meant by it in the third ending.
