And decided to check out the movie on imdb just because. It was quite a surprise to see how low of a score the "professional" critics gave it and how high of a score everyone else gave it. It's another example of how disconnected those "professionals" are from what is truly entertaining for most of us. Have seen this many times and will see it many more.
That's why I don't pay attention to what the critic say. They have to be critical of movies. It their job title. Most critics think movies have to have some social message or be some artistic endeavor to be worthy. They forget all that matters with movies like this, was the movie fun? Clue was an over the top free for all comedy, that did not insult the watcher's intelligence. I'd be curious to see how many of these critics are failed screenwriters.
