Dream house

Anyone else want to win the lotto just so they could build their own Clue house complete with secret passages? Been my dream since I was little. I mean on a tropical beach wouldn't hurt.

While it would be cool, it just wouldn't be all that practical. Do you really need a library AND a study? And unless you plan on having A LOT of parties, a ball room and a billiard room would just sit there.

By Grabthar's Hammer...what a savings.

Yes... it was always a dream of mine to have a house like that.

Personally, I would love a two storied library with rolling ladders. A study is useful for a home office, billiard room would always be used - love playing pool and darts. A conservatory would be awesome, because it would be a great place to sit and read on a rainy or winter day. The ball room would be stretching it a bit though, as you would have to have social gatherings quite a often, but my daughter could use it as a ballet studio. The lounge would be a great TV room, and love that kitchen and dining room combo :)

Secret passages oh yeah! Though they're not really shown how they work in the movie (do they go down into the lower levels and around the outer foundation to get to the room on the opposite corner of the house) they are still one of my favourite parts of the movie.

This is an old post, but IDGAF. :-)

Yes! Since I first saw this as a kid, I, too, dreamed of winning the lotto so I could have Hill House! I would make the house an exact replica of this one, right down to the secret passages.

Though I didn't see the movie until I was 14/15 (and have loved it ever since), I did grow playing the board game and yes, having a house similar to the Boddy Mansion has been a dream of mine too. I'd love to have a house with secret passages.

When the Clue board game was no longer a challenge, I took two other board games I never played and created three floors for clue. I propped them up on two baby sisters' building blocks. Everyone thought it was great (I had a swimming pool room, and several bedrooms, and a storage room, and an exercise room). The problem was that playing the game on three floors, with 27 rooms took so long, no one wanted to play.

I should never have thrown out those works of art. .

I just watched the movie for the umpteenth time, and it's funny to see this post, because while watching, for the first time, I had the exact same thought.

Randomly, I'm certain the mansion was used in Big Bad Beetleborgs.

I mean, really, how many times will you look under Jabba's manboobs?
