Question about the beaten corporate executive, Leigh Kenyon
SPOILERS
My memory of CHILLER needs some refreshing.
I seem to recall when Michael Beck's cryogenically-frozen and revived-but-now-turned-evil character propositions his pretty corporate executive, Leigh Kenyon.
I think Beck's character was offering better job security and perks by using 'euphemisms' to insinuate he would be seeking sexual favors from Leigh, played by actress, Laura Johnson.
I remember that pretty exec, Leigh, is so offended that she storms off. But for some odd reason, later on in the day when she has had time to think about it, returns to Beck's character's office and, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Leigh, speaking in her own, 'euphemisms', was reconsidering and willing to take up the offer. If accurate, I can only assume that Leigh decided keeping her prestigious and well-paying corporate job was too valuable to let go and putting up with some 'extracurricular' demands from her boss might not be too inconvenient to suffer. Of course I think her timing was bad, according to the movie as Beck's character inflicts some off-screen physical abuse on Laura.
The movie never tells you what Beck's character actually did to Leigh. She appears later with two or three bruises on her face as she is busy emptying out her desk, presumably about to permanently leave her employer. At the time I watched the movie, I assumed Beck's character simply got abusive and slapped her around in some kind of S&M slapfest. But when I think about it again, could it have been possible that the Beck evil character sexually abused Leigh in the office, either some kind of sick S&M or even rape? What do you fans think?
