Is that...the dog from Cujo (at the beginning of the movie)

Hey isn't that dog from Cujo? Is it like this movie has a sort of footage of the dog? It has gotten the rabies! Though I have not seen Cujo yet... ¬_¬....

Ah, that makes sense now. I noticed he looked alot like Cujo and saw the Christine bumper sticker, I thought they were only references

Yeah, that's Cujo. Cat's Eye was even made by the same director (Lewis Teague).

Several Saint Bernard dogs were used to play Cujo in the 1983 movie, so it may of been one of none of them.

I loved the scene though, in which James Woods is watching The Dead zone on TV and then yells: "Who writes this cr@p anyway!"

And notice, in the scene where Candy Clark and James Naughton are lying in bed, the book she's reading is "Pet Sematary" (which, not coincidentally, involves a cat).

No no. It's just a different rabid, bloody, mangy killer dog. No. I'm kidding. Yeah I love the nods at the beginning. This was King's first screen-adaptation (that he wrote himself, that is), so I kind of see it as an introduction to the cat, who is living in Stephen King's world. Super cool. ;)

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD FOR CUJO, CAT'S EYE, CHRISTINE.

Yes it's a reference to these, so it's taking place in a sort of SK world, but it wouldn't really work in reality as Christine was destroyed and Cujo would have to have come back from the grave after being shot dead.

Cujo came to mind right away. It was a dead ringer with the slimy mouth and dirty fur. I also read the name Christine on the cars bumper and connected those dots easily. I missed the deadzone part.

I don't know if any of the dog actors from Cujo were in Cat's Eye if that is what you asked.
