Having read a review in a magazine 10 year ago, the outline of Berlin Affair has always stuck in my memory. A month ago I was fortunate enough to see the film. UNFORTUNATELY the entire movie had no subtitles and as an english-speaking bloke I have no idea what it was about at the end. I can make the tragedy simply enough, but I have no idea why it came to that. I also don't understand the significance of the Freaud type character and what happened to him at the end.

If someone could be kind enough to fill me in on the end, I'd really appreciate it. If you don't want to reveal any spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet, please send me a private message.

Haha,i;m having trouble with German too. I just got to know the DVD has no English subbed. Pathetic~~

i dont understand German but I do know that at the end, Mitsuko tried to commit suicide with both the nazi and the wife. I think it was because she could handle everything that was going on then, but don't take my word for it. I didnt watch this movie, only heard from a person who understands German.

I saw a very bad, dubbed version so I couldn't really hear that they were saying. But from simply watching the movie, Louise, her husband Heinz, and her lover Mitsuko all tried to commit suicide by drinking poison and lying in bed. But Louise wakes up while Heinz and Mitsuko.

For those who understand the ending better, please explain how Louise survived.
