For those who are too young to know this or for those who have forgotten, the Disney company went almost down the tubes by the end of the 1980s. People were NOT seeing their movies anymore and the company was not producing the usual wholesome material....at least no what people expected. A major problem: profanity.

Yes, the idiots running the Disney movies during that decade would produce films with swear words - including the Lord's name in vain, if you can believe that - interspersed in these "family films." In fact that happens twice here in the first 20 minutes!

This movie, in addition to the language problems, has a nasty tone to it, too, which made it unlikeable almost right from the beginning. Thankfully, Disney woke up and has produced a lot of great material since these decadent '80s movies. ("Touchstone" is Disney, just under another name.)

Piece of advice my friend,dont let religion,or anything else for that matter,such as race,or creed,or anything as silly as those things,influence you when posting a review.If you really want to be considered a lover of movies,and not a right wing bigot that is,You must be able to put all those things aside to be taken seriously,and then,and only then will,YOU!be taken seriously.

Thank you for giving us the being-taken-seriously guidelines. What influences you when you post a view? Everybody has some belief system that influences their thinking. Also, to be considered a lover movies, according to you, you must be left wing? What did he write that made him a bigot? They never brought up issues of race or creed in their review.

Well is obvious there are several problems here. First of all, reviews are fact, not opinion, and the fact of someone's opinions (or beliefs) should not be involved. Christians don't watch movies, ever, so there is not need to include any information in a review that would interest them. Certainly, they should not be allowed to give reviews of movies. And if they are, they should not write such reviews as if they are christians, but must totally abandon their beliefs, or even convert to paganism, in order to make a good review. And as for bigotry, it is evil, unless it is against christians, that makes it good.

Damn Biblethumpers! Quit spewing your religious rhetoric and then pretending that you aren't doing so; we don't want to hear it. That has nothing to do with the reason Disney did poorly in the 1980's and you know it.
The only reason you believe in god is because your parents forced you to believe in him when you were a child. You haven't been able to think for yourself since you were born. Al Quaeda is proof that adults can make children believe anything and they will believe it for life.

What the H-E-double-hockey-sticks does this have to do with Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend? Is there a review here or just a lame defense for being Christian?

I'm surprised that Christians didn't take up this movie as being pro-Christian, pro-creationist, or pro whatever they call themselves nowadays. See, Charles Darwin was wrong. Man and dinosaurs did walk the earth together. There is no evolution - we all sprung from god's love 13,000 years ago and we've been sorting it out ever since. This movie proves it! That seems to be the truest test of faith: come up with the wackiest, implausible crap and see how many people buy into it. If you are on the business end of things, you can live high on the hog off god's word. You can dress it up and advertise it as much as you want; build large, pretty temples - all the way to the heavens. In the end: its all just crap. The Mormons and Scientologists are the greatest practitioners.

Joseph Smith is alive and well and living on an invisible planet near Mars. He's wearing his bullet-proof underwear, waiting for all his faithful astronauts to arrive on judgment day. Everyone will get a sack of gold and a copy of the remastered DVD "Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend" with director commentary and featurettes, and heartily laugh at all the non-believers who lack the guts to serve in their beloved corps.

huh?

is it true that the movie has crude language? its either true or false
and for a movie aimed at families its probably an important part of the film

If I went to see toy 3 and half way through it turned into a hardcore gay porno I'd really like to know about that before taking my kid to go see it.

people can't have any view point while reviewing a movie??? HUH?? how would you review a film then???

Thats a pretty broad defenition of the word bigot. I'm not arguing the merits of the review pro or con.

Just suggesting you look up the definition of the word bigot. I know that like calling someone a "nazi" calling them a bigot feels like a powerful insult, but it does have a specific defenition.

There is no ethnic or other group of people being insulted in his review. He does call the people at Disney idiots, but that is like saying the people who run Microsoft are idiots, neither is a bigoted stance.

Bigot: a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.

Ironically, calling people who are "right wing" bigots, is in itself bigoted by definition. He stated an opinion, a strong one yes, but you insulted him for it heh.
