shareNo problem. Wow time flies, I was in my late teens then, and was instantly charmed by the film. I never saw the cartoon version, nor the Netflix series. But I did watch the series remake with Martin Sheen, it was OK. I also saw the 1930's version. But nothing tops the classic 80's version. It is too bad other surviving cast members were not there to share their recollections.
shareI used to watch the show as a kid in the 80s. I've always loved it. I'm planning a family trip to PEI soon, so I've been thinking about this show again.
shareSince Megan is great in period shows, maybe she might cameo on The Gilded Age. She would make a great LLM in a biopic. I have read a few of the Anne books within the past few years, and other classic novels by Ms. Montgomery. I wish someone would do an updated version of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. Have fun in PEI. I would love to visit someday.
shareI love Megan Follows. I like her in Heartland. It's cool to see her older and acting in a really different role. Still, my first introduction of her was Ann Shirley. The 80s version is by far the best. Saw bits and pieces of the newer series, didn't care for it. I would like to see the 30s adaptation.
shareHas anybody ever seen Reign? What is Heartland about?
shareI enjoyed watching Reign. Humor, romance, great chemistry and strong acting. It's a mix of modern and historical like A Knight's Tale.
You can watch on CW:

I still haven't watched Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story when they marry.
Too bad, they never did a sequel to A Continuing Story, I wonder how their life turned out with Dominic, and how Diana coped with her husband's disability. Fans and critics knocked the 3rd movie, but it was OK. However I agree with the fans about the one with Barbara Hershey, it was dull.
shareHeartland is a family drama with horses. Not much else I can say. That's really all it is, but it's my favorite show. If you like horses and Canada, then it's for you.
shareI have seen videos regarding travel to PEI, it looks like a cool place. Believe it or not Aretha Franklin loved the 80's film as well. I read that somewhere. Here is a link to an article regarding Aretha.
