What Ninja Movie am I remembering?

When Shinyuki was showing Joe the Haragei, & showing him the hand movements, it reminded me of another movie, where a Ninja was getting ready to "graduate", & was told to show the movements (It wasn't called "Haragei" in the movie I'm remembering). But there were MORE movements than was shown in "American Ninja". Does anyone know the movie I'm remembering? It's REALLY vague, but I seem to also remember the student chopping off his teacher's head???

Oh, YEAH! Thank you VERY much for reminding me of the title - now, abut the part where the student chopped off his teachers head?

Yup, that's the movie.

O.k., maybe I wasn't clear enough. WHY did the student chop his own teacher's head? It's been a LONG time since I've seen this.

I don't remember. There's a decapitation at the beginning, which is probably what you're thinking of, and one at the end, when the hero kills the bad guy, but I don't remember why the one at the beginning happens. Check out the movie or ask on that board.

It was part of his graduation test. He had to infiltrate the school, and assassinate the target. You do, however, see the teacher carrying a wax/ fake head into the room a few scenes later, soyouknow it was just a test.

Haragei is sixth sense and Joe learned it when he was six. In the scene he was learning Ninja magick called Kobudera in Japanese. Certain hand movements could unlock the magick through Ki (the Force)

Whoa! That's DEEP! I would like to learn this!
