This 4th of July the Sci Fi Channel has broken with tradition this year and has put the 1980's TZ back to back with the 1950's / 60's TZ . The entire marathon is for 3 days starting July 2nd at 8 AM to July 5th at 6 AM ( in the USA ) . It should be interesting but IMO this 1980's TZ should have been shown at a later date perhaps on a daytime marathon . I'm not opposed to this series and wouldn't mind seeing it again after all these years . Will anyone here be watching this upcoming marathon even with it's change in format ? Thanks so much everyone !
I have seen all the episodes in the original series, but there are still a few in the '80s series that I have not seen, so I look forward to watching the eighties versions. I will have to set up my DVR tonight.
Thanks for the info.
_______________ A dope trailer is no place for a kitty.
Excellent Huskie_Jon ( and your very welcome for the info ) ! Will you be recording the entire marathon on your DVR or just your favorite episodes ? ( I never had a DVR so I'm not sure how they work exactly ) I have the original TZ Definitive Collection on DVD but it's still fun for me to watch it on TV too ( and will fill in episodes from my collection if and when they will show infomercials in between ) . Thanks so much Huskie_Jon for your reply .
Oh OK that's cool and most handy too . I only have VHS & DVD Players ( I'm somewhat of the old school type lol ) . Thanks again Huskie_Jon and enjoy the marathon !
I haven't seen all or even most of the 1980s version so I look forward to it. I don't plan to watch all day but I plan to watch at least some I haven't seen.
I'm watching some of it. Some of these 1980s ones I haven't seen since they were first aired, others I've seen the rare times they are rerun. A few of them I remembered parts of but thought they were a "Tales from the Darkside" or a new "Outer Limits"
I hope Sci-Fi (or I guess it'll be - ugh - SyFy soon) adds it to their mini-marathons like they do with Friday the 13th: The Series and Tales from the Darkside. I tried to tape as many of the episodes as I could, especially when I found that they discontinued the DVDs. Watching some of these brought back some fond memories, most of which I didn't remember (so I guess that might not technically be categorised as memories). The most memorable are "Monsters!", "Gramma" and "The Shadow Man".
I left it on all day but didn't just watch it nonstop though. I did other things and kept it on in the background but I watched alot of them in full. So glad they included my favorite episode A Message From Charity.
Were these originally an hour long?I haven't seen these since I was a kid in the 80's,but remember some of the episodes to be a little longer. One episode in particular was the one where the couple woke up when time was being built and at one point they asked the builder if they ever make any mistakes?and he replied with something like " little things, like When you know you put your keys down in one spot then find them in another, thats us".
