The creepiest openning of all versions of the show..

I have a soft spot for the openning of the 80's version , the music , those images : The baby in the bubble , that fuzzy image of Rod Sterling and the narrator's voice had a lot of gravita to it. When I was little it used to creep me out , it's so otherworldy and none of the other opennings had affected me as much as the ones from the 80's version. The 2000's openning was too rock and roll to be scary and the 50's version felt a bit old but the 80's version is still creepy , even now , in my opinion.

You know, the original series' familiar theme (by Marius Constant) wasn't the first. ;-) Season 1 originally used a different theme (by Bernard Herrmann). Some folks still consider it a favorite (particularly the closing theme).

I didnt know that , I should check out for it on youtube..

Perhaps some versions might found on youtube; although some may not be exactly the same as the one heard on the first season's closing credits.

If you're in the U.S., you can try Hulu.
For example here's episode 5, "Walking Distance":

After the initial commercial break, listen to the opening credits. The closing theme has a different conclusion which I also like. You can skip-ahead to the end-credits:

Mouse-over the player, and click the last 'dot' near the end of the player's time-bar, to skip to the end-credits. (If the player fails to go there, click that dot again.) You will have to wait through at least one full commercial break (and possibly, yet another full ad break) before the end-credits will play.

(When the end-credits begin, Hulu's annoying Auto-play feature may shrink the end-credits screen, and start a timer-countdown to take you to another episode. The theme music will still be heard, and it is short enough that it will probably finish before the auto-play interrupts.)

Regarding the opening. Is there a face in the mushroom cloud? In the thin part of the mushroom cloud.

I was just thinking I don't know why the opening creeps me out when the shows aren't scary to me good to know I'm not the only one

It's too quiet for me. Not very memorable. The images are cool though.
