Wilykit and Wilykat absent from some episodes

I've always wondered, how come when something bad happens to the adult Thundercats and they are unable to free themselves from a certain trap, where are Wilykit and Wilykat? And why doesnt Lion-O call to them? It's pretty much as if they don't exist at all in these select episodes. Where could they be? What could they be doing?? I mean, I GET that it's just a cartoon, and the Thundercats need to learn their own lessons and work things out with new skills and all that, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wonders about where the youngest of the litter are. Cheetara HAS actually provided an explanation as to where they were for the duration of ONE episode, but for the rest, it's as if there's no such thing as Wilykit & Wilykat.
