This needs to get done with the tech/CGI used in James Cameron's Avatar

Honestly if the director WB hires employs the same tech and CGI that was used to bring the Na'vi to life for Thundercats.

Then we might just have an incredibly awesome movie.

Warner Brothers should do it. Look how well Avatar is doing at the box office.

Realistic alien kitties are in. This is the perfect time to get a live action/cgi Thundercats movie in production.

It's a great opportunity for WB to produce another 'Avatar'

I agree, it is the perfect time.

I was coming to say exactly the same.

I want a Live Action Thundercats, but after watching Avatar in 3D It would be awesome to creat the Thundercats that way and in 3d!!!!!!!!!!!

Thundercats movie was waiting for the moment, now after Avatar the moment is here

James Cameron directing it Woow

Do you recognize my voice...?

I wouldn't mind if Zack Snyder directed and used the same amount of CG James Cameron did. I don't want a Cameron story here, as every story he has done is mostly a cliche. I rather it be dark and extremely accurate, as Snyder has shown he can do.

CGI is too overused nowadays.

It was designed to be a tool to help film makers overcome effects that couldn't be done practically, and now everyone just uses it for every single little thing from small explosions to sets.

Traditional drawn animation is far better and far more effective, you just cheapen the show if you use CGI for everything.

i dont think so, look at pixologic.com. zbrush was the tool to design the na'vi . some great art there, also each character represented its human counterpart which shows its own indivuality instead of being just blue aliens. a total misconception of that race. the thundercats could be equally complex or even more so since we dont need to show 100 of them on screen. it can be done. it can look awesome and to the poster above me...the complexity of drawing or making 3d models is the same and both goes hand in hand, a 3d artist is also propably a good 2d artist. it requires alot of funadamental "traditional" knowledge of drawing to even design a single character...

cgi aint childsplay...
