Hopefully in light of the new series on its way in 2011. This will be a kinda queue to tie-in an all-new re-issued re-release of ThunderCats on DVD/Blu-Ray agreed. Its just a damned pity a former DVD producing company like; 'BCI Eclipse' i.e. Ink & Paint are no longer in business. As they produced extraordinary DVD titles and gave them the respect, animated teleivision series and features should receive rather them treat them as lackluster and release shows as barebones simply cos they are animated.
Rhino Entertainment DVD made some noise with their Transformers DVD's releases in the past i know. And further on, the later 'Sony Wonder' and 'Shout! Factory' DVD's came and followed on after it. Considering how TF been re-released more than once on DVD multiple times now, same goes for Masters Of The Universe 2002 series which was released onto DVD by BCI Eclipse then later by 'Mill Creek Entertainment' after BCI sadly folded. The overall argument is very much heavily supported by the strong evidence presented, along with the fact any new re-releases would easily take advantage of the HD-1080p resolution on a shift to the Blu-Ray format as well. Warners could also add additional and proper extras this time. Hell i can make my own extras with TV trailers (original and Toonami versions), videos, foreign language tracks, concept artwork that turned up online over the years, the Amstrad Commodore64 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum ThunderCats videogames etc. So, exactly whats stopping those that hold the copyrights from doing the same thing likewise, possibly as clever T-Cats fans do for themselves? When one also considers the errors made on the previous T-Cats DVD's, lack of a 5.1 Surround sound track and picture quality remastering, a DVD re-issue becomes an even more valid question doesn't it!
And lets not forget the issue of a ThunderCats soundtrack and music ques by Bernard Hoffer being released. Something which all ThunderCats fans want to see happen and listen to 'via' a seperate audio selection track on the DVD/Blu-Ray re-release or seperate CD soundtrack offering being sold in highstreet shops. And in today's day and age, being available for download on ITunes for your IPhone/IPod etc.
Agreed, this so needs to happen.
