Thunder, thunder, thunder, thundercats!... -Can you hear me now? Good!

Ok so Im watching all these original shows on DVD and Ive noticed a pattern here that seems one sided to me. So Lion-O gets into trouble and he pulls out his sword and calls for the others. He does this A LOT folks! Plus the sword doesnt seem to wanna fight until after he brings out the Thundercat spotlight deal. Now it can shoot bolts of energy etc. Ok so essentially why does Lion-O even need that sword? I think he would be better off with a 9mm pistol and a cell phone cuz thats pretty much the role(s) of his sword. haha Why doesnt this guy carry more than one weapon anyway? Yeah he has a shield and sword, but I mean like an energy blaster or something? The mutants have em, so why dont the Thundercats? Then again, no one seems to be able to hit crap in this show anyway. haha It was a cool show and I love the Sword of Omens, but I agree that its a bit overrated to be honest.


Ive been watching the new Thundercats and while it lacks the 80's charm of the original, I think I like it better really. In the new one the sword seems more geared towards fighting hard and going the distance, not calling for help 24/7.
