Slithe, Jackalman and Monkian were portrayed as leaders of three separate mutant armies in "Exodus" and yet we only see them again in three other episodes. You'd think that they would take more advantage of their numbers when fighting the Thundercats.
shareThere's no valid explanation really, I'm guessing the writers just chose to ommit them in order to concentrate on establishing and developing the 3 main mutants as antagonsists.
There were a few episodes here and there were the other anonymous mutants showed up, without dialogue or names of course, but that might have been because production on that particular episode may have started before another one and finished after it.
I would assume that had Mum-Ra not raised the mutant's ship from beneath the sands outside his pyramid it would have been easy to explain this, but seeing how he did, it's a moot point.
Besides, Vulterman joined them at some point (unless he was meant to be a part of them all along when they retconned him in the Return to Thudnera episode) and Rattaro kept popping in for surprise visits.
If I remember right, there was a fleet of mutant ships around the planet, and Mumm-Ra sank the three main mutant's ship so they couldn't call them. This was addressed only briefly in the first or second episode. I don't know if they just stayed up in orbit or took off or came down and made a colony. But for sure random mutants of the week pop up now and then without explanation.
