Billy
Why did they switch the actor who played Billy? I like the original Billy better. Any thoughts?
shareDarn good question, since John Stockwell did a GREAT job as Billy. Parker Stevenson is a fine actor, but all I could think of when I looked at him was Frank Hardy.
My guess is that when N&S Book II was being filmed (Book I and II were filmed back-to-back), Stockwell was filming his role as Cougar in "Top Gun" and couldn't reprise his role as Billy. Given that Billy doesn't get a lot to do in Book II, and "Top Gun" was a HUGE hit, I think Stockwell made the right decision, even though his part in the movie was small.
