FYI - Kirstie Alley said in her recent book ("The Art of Men -I Prefer Mine al Dente") that she and Swayze fell in love during the filming of this mini-series but never had an outright affair.

I believe it. In the few scenes they share together, their chemistry is palpable. Knowing this info now makes those scenes even more entertaining!
