Madeline is gorgeous, but something about her reminds me of Megan Fox who I don't like, but that's just my opinion.
Constance is a close second, but Ashton has those dark features that make her stand out much more.

Madeline, no contest, I was 5 years old when the show first aired, and spent the rest of the eighties beeing secretly in love with this true beauty...., its the very first scene where she looks up for help after her carrige tilted that is still the image I will never forget....seeing it again now, im still of that opinion, butt both the beauty and the kindness of constance is very apealing.... Beeing able to make this an internal beauty contest of the tv-series of north and south i miss the nomination of Virgilia, Kirsty Ally was at this point in her life far more beautiful the both brett and ashton....:)
shareI know what you mean, period costumes aside, the show did shape my ideal of beauty for quite some time. For me it was Genie Francis (Brett), she sucked me into watching General Hospital for a few years. I ended up marrying a brunette with the same hairstyle as Lesley-Anne Down. Go figure.

sharei thought Constance was the best looking (and i really liked her accent) after that Madeline, Ashton was also very pretty but i just can stand her!! And when Brett doesnt smile she is also very pretty, but im sorry to say it her smile sucks :(
And for the man: I just cant stop looking at GEORGE HAZZARD!! althought i didnt think the mustache looked really good on him, to bad because hes really handsome.. i watched half of the serie and i can really say im addicted!!
