GROSS, GROSS, GROSS!!!!
Poor Madeline, having to bang that disgusting old creep. By far that is the most disturbing part of this entire mini-series! :X

What an idiotic post.
shareI thought David Carradine was handsome in the movie, and in the book, Justin is supposed to be handsome and charming even though he was older than Madeline. She wanted an older man though because she had been poorly treated by a younger man before she met Justin, and then Orry (in the book she's engaged to Justin when she meets Orry). She thought Justin was going to be nice, but he was rough with her on the wedding night (it wasn't a rape in the book like it was in the movie, just that he handled her very roughly).
shareReading the book, I feel Carradine was miscast. In the book they describe Justin as being no older than 40 on the outside and, yes, handsome. So they cast Carradine, who was about 49 but looked 59 and who is about as far from handsome as one can get. Wtf! I guess they really wanted someone who looked very old and repulsive so we'd hate the guy even more. Mission accomplished.

If she would have run it would have made no difference; he would simply have found her and had the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad kill her (or put her in a coma).
