Guy Pearce returns to Neighbours

True. He's a superb actor, so kudos for treating his return like a *proper* acting role, rather than sniffing his nose at it.

But I suppose it makes sense, seeing as he's a *proper* actor, whereas a lot of the other cast went into pop careers. Margot Robbie's one of the few exceptions, but right now she's a mega-star, whereas Pearce is a consistent A-lister rather than 'the biggest star in the world.'

Good for him.

Felt a bit sorry for him - like he'd been kind of used - when they announced the show was coming back so quickly. I thought there was no way he'd come back again and they'd have to do a 360 on the closing storyline, which would be a shame as it was a sweet conclusion...

Anyway, who knows - he's 55 now. Maybe he's contented enough in what he's achieved and will be happy to play out his old character for a while. I hope it's that anyway and not just back for a couple of episodes to make sense of his sudden departure.
