When Steph went in for the egg collection they'd discover she was already pregnant. Just the ways the synopsis read and knowing that's something soaps do. Wonder if they'll go down the adoption route now.

Think the way they're writing it is to create a very complicated situation between Steph, Sonya, Mark and Toadie which will create longterm downfall.

shareI figured it would go the way it has about halfway through last night's episode. Saint Sonya to the rescue again! Toadie will not be impressed with this and I can't say I blame him really. It would be pretty weird, Sonya's own biological child with her best friend!

She really is, but I think it's like Toadie said the other day, she really is just that generous and selfless. I mean, if I were in the position, there are friends I'd do it for, if circumstances allowed it. I don't think I'd be that pushy, but I get the emotional thrust of it.
shareI think it's a great and selfless thing to do for another couple BUT
1) Listening to Sonya talking and no doubt having issues over giving Callum up, I can't see Sonya being able to give a baby away (even to such close friends)
2) Sonya's practically forcing a baby on Mark and Steph
I've suspected Sonya would offer that at some point for a while, I think because I thought Steph wouldn't end up being able to.
shareit true to character Sonya has a fixing people addition like her helping Chris mum with her alcoholism few years back.
Only way i can see this storyline going is
A they don't go through with it
B Sonya misscarries
C this is an exit storyline for one or more of the 4 characters involved
It be really interesting if all 4 agreed to share the baby and raise it together (after all Toadie wants another baby) but think the dynamic be to complicated for the show to tackle
I thought once was ruled out Steph could not have a baby Sonya would talk about havinh another one with Toadie and just really making sure he fine not having more before going such extreme legth help Steph have one.
I offered to be a surrogate once, so I get it, and the OTT-ness is very much within character.
I thought Sonya & Toadie would have another baby too.
I wonder if Eve Morey is leaving - I hope not!
