I've been reading all the forums. Someone pointed out something really interesting. What if Dee turns out to be an impostor and that Emily woman's behind it--to hide from her abusive husband--and she had plastic surgery and everything? And Willow's really the daughter of the husband. How devastating would that be for Toadie and the viewer, but such a demented insane twist!!!
Not likely tho IMO.
That would be an insane twist! I read somewhere that someone thinks Darcy could have something to do with the whole thing, 'cause he was evil :-)
And he was recently mentioned by someone, casually, but I can't remember by who... Or maybe I dreamt it.
I'm reading stuff about Sindi. That one's really making me think!!! And something about Emily actually being seen on the show as a guest or something? I don't know. I'm still full of beans if I think about this ep!!

shareWell, Sindi was in the show originally I think about 2002. She was dating Darcy. I know this because I was able to watch the episodes with Susan and her amnesia again. And then she just disappears at some point (not sure when) and comes back AFTER Dee drowns. Have to wonder if there's something in it?? Again, overwhelming, just the reactions alone. What will STU Sindi's husband say? He was there trying to help Toadie look for her.
shareI'll have to take your word on it, I can't remember when they all arrived. If you're right, the writhers should know about this and maybe there is something in it. Sindi was unhinged so she could have been jealous of Dee, for whatever reason...
And I do get the feeling that this is not just about Dee, but about other previous characters as well.
This would be the best soaps story line EVER! And the only reason this is possible, is because it's been on for 30 years!
So true! Oh I love continuity!! That's why Lauren finding out about Paige wasn't so powerful for me, because no one saw it happening at the time.
shareI thought the Paige situation was interesting, but I'm not sold on any of the actors, especially Paige. Paige is slowly growing on me, but the priest thing set it back a bit :-)
I agree on the continuity remark and although 'real life' isn't this crazy (in general), it seems plausible for something like this to happen in Neighbours, it makes sense.
I don't like the fact that Sonia's surrogacy was rushed to coincide with Dee's arrival, but the story itself does work (though Sonia really worked on my nerves by rushing it, I have to blame the writers for that).
There's another way for Susan and Dee to bond and relate, the amnesia.
I could definitely see someone evil having kept her from coming back - maybe this woman is a cover story? Or some of it's true and some isn't. I'm so looking forward to it all being revealed.
Same! The thought of there being this "Machiavellian twist" to it all really uber intrigues me! Could Dee's accident, Dee's parents accident AND Cecille's disappearance ALL be connected somehow?
Bennmatt: At the time, Toadie couldn't get the car to start when they were taking off for the honeymoon. So they had to get out and use another car, which was like this old bomb, and there was something wrong with the brakes, which Stu felt really guilty about and Toadie went ballistic when he found out. Omg, so what if someone knew about the brakes and made the whole thing happen? Nah, this is nuts haha.
Not so much the plastic surgery - but I wouldn't be all that surprised if the girl's not Toadie and Dee's child and that Dee claimed her due to the abuse - that would be plausible. Dee might even have raised her as her own. I don't think they would, but could work that way if they wanted it to.
