Matlock and Golden Girls

I've been a big fan of the Golden Girls for a while. Just started watching Matlock this year though and it's funny how because of both shows playing during the same time period - mid eighties to early nineties on the same network, they shared the same supporting actors.

I remember watching the the Season 1 Episode 'Adult Education' from the GG and Jerry Hardin played Professor Cooper, a sleazy teacher of Blanche's who was trying to take advantage of her. The same actor played Avery Campbell in the Season 5 Episode 11 'The Broker' from Matlock. ADA Julie March was feeling so sorry for the 'sweet old man' and found it hard to believe that he could be accused of anyone's murder. I found it hard to believe Julie lol, after his role in GG.

Another one was Season 4 Episode 3 'The Ex' from Matlock where Alan Blumfeld played the beaten down defendant who was being defended by Julie and Ben. He played Lou the plumber in Season 1 Episode 19 'Second Motherhood' from GG who says to Dorothy and Rose that to install a toilet, "You got to go to school, got to be a trained technician, got to be a man for god's sake!'

Many more instances like this, when I come by them, I just find the actors hilarious, regardless of the role they play in Matlock or any other show!
