Spelling spent a fortune to produce this soap opera spectacular and every penny showed on screen from the sumptuous sets to the stellar cast. Looking at the dvd shelf today I saw lots of event television from the era including stuff like "Centennial" and crap too (Jake & the Fat Man, The Fall Guy). I cannot fathom why "Dynasty II: THe Colbys" has not been put on dvd. It's a true cult clasic.

I agree absolutely with you they publish all season of Dynasty and I think this show deserves to be published on DVD too !
shareThey're probably waiting until season 6 (it is season 6 isn't it?) when the Colbys are introduced. Maybe they don't want to start introducing people and plotlines ahead of the Dynasty series (where we are now).

That makes sense, actually. This series wouldn't sell as well as 'Dynasty', but it'd sell well enough for it to be worth their while.

On May 12, 2015, Shout! Factory will release "The Colbys: The Complete Series" on DVD in Region 1 for the very first time. The 12-disc set will feature all 49 episodes of the series as well as all new cast interviews.
