Anyone Surprised By How Little Screen Time Jeff And Fallon Get?

Upon rewatching the series (which I have always enjoyed), I was surprised by how little Jeff and Fallon are in it. Considering they are the main connections to sister soap, Dynasty, it is interesting to me how little they are shown. I guess they were never meant to be the stars of the show but more supporting characters. But Jeff seems to have far less to do than he did while on Dynasty. Maybe it is odd. Maybe it is not. There are not a lot of prime time soap spin offs for comparison other than Knots Landing where Dallas connected characters, Gary and Val, were clearly front and center if not the focal point of the show.

Gary and Val were definitely NOT the focal point of Knots. Although the show was an ensemble, the star was Michele Lee (Karen). The main couple was originally Sid and Karen, then Karen and Mack. Gary and Val got plenty of screen time but they weren't the focal point.
