Possibly superior to Fast Times; hang on to VHS

Quite possibly superior to Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Chris Penn and his character is far cooler and funnier than the overpraised Sean Penn/Spicoli stuff. The Wild Life is simply much cooler probably because it's less known and does not have a DVd release. It doesn't because the music is too expensive. So too bad to all of you who threw out your VCRs for no good reason. I bought The Wild Life on VHS for .99 cents at a video store clearing out all their tapes without knowing the value of any of them.

Yes this movie is way better than Ridgemont High, the whole serious abortion theme was a drag, could you imagine Chris Penns character being confronted with the seriousness of Ridgemont high!?

?? Yes, this movie is so nuts that's why you're compelled to take the time away from your busy day to IMDB it!
This movie has an impact on everybody.. whether it be drunk jocks or nerdy virgins like this guy.

What makes you think I'm busy? And if i was, how would 30 seconds possibly impact my time management? Glad you liked the movie and it had an impact on you. Don't ever watch Sophie's Choice though, because if something like the Wild Life had an impact on you-you're head might explode.

Because you were trying to say "Sophies Choice" is more of a "impactful" movie, and probably one of your favs.... so my retort was to throw my fav movie back at you.
Sophies Choice is boring as hell, and can't compare to the 80's tom-foolry of Wild Life.

oh, i just threw out sophie's choice as an example of something of absolute higher value...like saying hey would you rather have sex with that fit, beautiful woman or that $2 one-legged crack ho with a bad case of dysentery? But hey, if that's your bag man...enjoy. I actually liked Wild Life...when i was a kid, and still watch it and remember what it was like to be a teenager...but impactful? Whatever, though. It makes no difference to me Badlands (i also love that movie)

I recorded this on my DVR. Still a very good film and Chris Penn was a much better actor than his brother.

Not me fishx-1....still have a old vcr....well actually 3....But still yet i had thought i had seen all the 80's films....quess i was wrong....watching this one right now for the first time....and yes it's better then Fast Times....i got a lot of vhs tapes......got the Halloween series and Friday the 13 series oringinal one from the 70's/80's....never been opened....very valuable.....and in mint condition.....The older days was better for everthing, sports, wrestlig, films....you name it.....I love the 80's.

This is a good film, sure, but saying that it's better than Fast Times leads me to believe that perhaps you sniffed too much glue in the 80's. Fast Times is far more than Spicoli/Penn, nor is that role commonly overpraised in a general sense.

My friend's dad was a dermatologist who had to treat Chris Penn for a little "problem" in the groin area when he was here in SC filming a movie and he actually saved one of Chris Penn's pubic hairs and brought it home to show us. He taped it to a piece of gauze and stuck it in a plastic biohazard bag. He brought it home to both impress us and gross us out at the same time. Needless to say we were all grossed out but it was so funny the lengths people go when they are starstruck. This was back in the mid-90's or so I think.
