Remake announced.

And judging by this quote — “The news brings to an end the race for one of the hottest fantasy properties yet to be tapped for modern audiences” — we’ll no doubt be seeing a LOT of PoC actors running across the screen.

Also, Bastion and/or Atreuu will probably be gay and the Empress will be trans or played by a trans actor or both.

Ende died in 1995. His family has control now and most heirs only care about money.

Pay them and studios can do anything they want with the property.

Look at the “modern” adaptations of classic properties past few years. All diversified and woke.

Look what happened with LotR on Amazon.

I remember when people hated remakes because we were scared that they would ruin it with bad CGI and green screens. Now people hate remakes because they're scared the actors may be black or gay.

To be specific: Race shifting white characters and making straight characters gay.

There is never a good reason for that.

Yet, if PoC characters are shifted to white and gay characters made straight, the DEI mob goes ballistic.

And that hypocrisy is the biggest BS about this.
