Release a blu-ray already for god sake :/

OK so I know this was not a hit movie and its got a cult status where there are people who like it maybe not in the numbers as some other movies.

Why no Blu-ray :/ it really makes me mad about all the crappy straight to VOD and straight to home video movies that get a Blu-ray release and supergirl does not :/

Hell even tank girl got a great Blu-ray release and that made less than this and has a cult following (I love the movie)

Id love anchor bay to do it and give it a good treatment like they limited edition dvds...though im not sure if they have the rights to it now to be able to do the bluray because im pretty sure they would have released it already.

If it was ever released they should clean up the picture a bit more and id be happy for just a trailer and the making of that came on the dvd long as the picture and sound were great BUT obviously any other footage would be good (specially all the lost footage)

And in a ideal world they could remove the wires, that would not cost a lot of money for them to do plus with it being in HD you would see them a lot more, after the vhs and I first watched this on dvd I couldn't believe how much you could see the wires compared to the VHS lol

they have removed wires and sorted things out before for movies, like in nightmare on elm street 4 in the church when freddy throws alice across the church she was attached to a single wire BUT it was pretty chunky and they removed it for the dvds and this was years ago when they were first released they also added a door into a scene where the camera past a open doorway and camera crew and lighting were seen inside. same with nighmare 3 where set lights could be seen above so they added more wall to hid them.

What is the status on IP rights? I remember it took years to release the last Superboy seasons, for this reason:

*******
In an interview for the webpage supermanhomepage.com, Salkind revealed that the legal battle between the three companies involved in the series' production (Viacom, Warner Bros. and the Salkinds) was the reason the show was not re-run on television or released to home video. This dispute was settled circa 2005, opening the door for the series to be released on DVD and also through AOL's in2tv free-on-demand internet streaming site.
*******

Perhaps that's why they didn't release Supergirl yet.

im not sure tbh, I know anchor bay released the 2 supergirl dvds, the international one and then the limited edition which also contained the international version and the directors cut.

but in the uk the dvd was released in 2006 by Warner Home Video

and it was just the basic movie with non of the other scenes BUT I will note that with extra scenes in the US directors cut were actually in the uk movie anyway apart from that chicken cooking scene

The DVD is fine for me. Honestly I have all the Superman movies on Blu-ray and there is not such a huge difference in the way they cleaned up the picture that a BR release of this is a must. The film is in fine quality on DVD with the directors commentary..
