Favorite Soundtrack Song

Which song did you like on the soundtrack Streets of Fire?

reply

TONIGHT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE YOUNG definately the best song on the movie imo

reply

exactly.

Although I love Jim Steinman's songs in general, I have to go with Dan Hartman's "I Can Dream About You". It's a perfectly crafted piece of pop music.

reply

I CAN DREAM ABOUT YOU love the song

reply

Going Nowhere Fast is a great song too. Steinman really has a flare for the grandiose. I wonder if there is a fan club for SoF and/or Fire Inc.

Anyone know?

STEINMAN!!!!!!!

That is all.

reply

I can't choose between Tonight is What it Means to Be Young and Nowhere Fast. I can still jam to both of those today.

reply

Sorcerer. Better than the Stevie Nicks version IMO.

reply

Yes, I love the movie version of Sorcerer. Stevie and Sheryl are good, but the one in the movie is... well, classic.

I only liked three songs in the movie. Those are "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young", "Nowhere Fast" and "I Can Dream About You". And basically in that order too. So yeah, "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" is my favorite of the bunch! Of course, those three are pretty close.

reply

Every song on this soundtrack is great!

Put me down for "Tonight" as well with "Nowhere" being a close second, but dare I also mention that "Countdown to Love" is actually really good for a cheesy counting song? I always get into that one!

reply

One Bad Stud and Blue Shadows are serious bluesy rock! Then again, this movie is a perfect soundtrack-pop it in anytime and you could at ANY AGE know that "tonight is what it means to feel young".

reply

For me the edge goes to 'Tonight is what it means to be young' but I always liked 'One bad stud' as well. This flick is just jammed with great music so aside from 'never be you' (the one track I could never get into), I like almost all of it.

agree w/you, The Blasters' version of One Bad Stud is great in this movie. They were a seriously quality rock band...if you like the retro-50s bands of the 80s, they were probably the best

Deeper & Deeper - The Fixx. James Oram TEARS IT UP!

Nowhere Fast and Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young – whoever sais something different never really got in touch with the feeling of the '80s!
