Sorcerer – Movie Version

I think it’s kind of ridiculous that the Laurie Sargent rendition of 'Sorcerer' is nowhere to be found. There’s the Stevie Nicks version, and the Marilyn Martin version (with Nicks singing backup) on the official soundtrack.

Yet I’ve always preferred the track that was used in the actual film, for the Ellen Aim video seen midway through, and I can’t possibly be the only one who feels this way. I think it not only has the best vocals but the best instrumentation as well. So why in the hell can this not be found anywhere else? Obviously, they recorded it, so it must exist somewhere. I never understood why they opted for an alternate version for the album, anyway. They knew fans like the song from what they actually hear in the movie, so why not just give them that? Whatever.

If anyone has any links, sources or information of any kind, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry that I can't help you with finding the Laurie Sargent rendition of "Sorcerer" (because I looked everywhere I could think of and couldn't find it myself) but I want to say that I thought the same thing when I discovered that this rendition is nowhere to be found.

I thought that Laurie Sargent's rendition of that song was the best one. I loved it so much that I would replay that segment in the movie many times just so I can hear it.
