no other mermaid tails/movies i have seen have been so believable and beautiful like that of splash's.....they took great pains for it and the result DEFINITELY PAID OFF!!!.
That's strange. I wouldn't have thought some kind of catheter device would have stretched the imagination or the tail. Female needs in this regard are usualy pretty modest after all.
Splash was just on tv now - one of my favourite films ever and you're so right, that tale looks real. Now it would be completely CGi. Also the bathroom scene where the scales appear, how did they do that??
hmmm im not sure cos wasnt talked about in the documentarys would be something like they make a small piece of scaled skin that are hollow then push air through them making it look like transforming
that makes sense as you only see part of it transforming and Daryl Hannah's arm covers part of it so it must be some sort of mechanism like that. awesome!
