It is NOT the fact that the father escaped prosecution by taking an alternative therapy group it is the unfairness of this:

There are other people who have to register as sex offenders for life for dubious reasons, like the girl was sixteen or seventeen and said she was older or they just looked at child porn but never actually raped a child.

this guy effed his own daughter and she was well under 18 and he will never have to register as a sex offender due to escaping prosecution. I know life is not fair but this majorly does not sit right with me.

When this movie was made, there was no sex offender registry.

Ok then the guy whose seventeen year old girlfriend goes to PRISON for a few years and maybe gets raped by the other inmates while Ted Danson in this does not, and even without Megan's Law registry its still technically on your record, not a good thing.

Its pretty unfair he effed his own daughter.
