Some kind of curse on this film?

Adolph Caeser dies at 52. Howard Rollins dies at 46. Trey Wilson dies at 40. Larry Riley dies at 38. Sheesh. I was shocked when I saw that. I hadn't seen the film in quite some time and watched it recently. I wanted to see what the actors were up to. I knew that Adolph Caeser and Trey Wilson were gone, but I didn't know about the other two. Interesting.

It's how you live your life. Riley and Rollins had aids. Cesar's heart attack may have been related to drugs. I know Trey Wilson's cerebral hemorraghe stuck up on him so he doesn't belong with them but Denzel, David Allen Grier, and the rest of the cast seem healthy.

It's true that how you live your life definitely has an effect on your longevity. I was just sort of shocked that that many of the main characters from a film had died so young. With the exception of Caesar, they should still be alive today. Oh well, such is life.

John Hancock, the big black sergeant who stopped the fight, has passed away a number of years ago also.

My impression of that comment is that Wilson had a condition that was not directly caused by his life choices while the other three probably engaged in behaviors that significantly contributed to their failing health and deaths.

What about the hundreds of other people working on this production who didn't die in the 80s and are still alive today? No sinister curse at work here, just several cases of "sh1# happens".

Both Howard Rollins and Carroll O'Connor's son died of drug related issues at a young age. What a shame.
