Says he doesn't think A Soldier's Story wears well...I think he's out of his beeping mind! Everyone I show it to loves it.
I can still remember him bringing his whole HS CLASS over to see it...more than once. You could have heard a pin drop. He's 38 now...getting complacent in his old age, I guess (hee...)

shareIt's the Dallas Morning News--but he's on a fellowship at Harvard now for a year (Nieman Fellowship, I think they call it). So he's been living in Dallas, TX for--15 years, and guess what he's going to study in Boston? African-American Culture! (Boston makes a certain amount of sense, but Harvard--sounds like he's trading experience for book learning!)
