Giving underpants to the geek?

What the heck? That seems way way too perverted for a girl like Sam.

I thought the same thing. She had to be a bit naive. What if he was like, an undie-sniffer, and she just gave her underwear to that kid?

That was the only visual proof of intimacy the nerds would accept. They had wanted video, but Ted had said he wasn't going to give them a video (if only because he knew Sam would never have sex with him). Ted wanted "proof" and Sam wanted an in with Jake.

Well..I don't think that seems too perverted for her character. She wasn't uncomfortable with talking about sex with Ted or when she thought she felt his erection. She also said the only reason she wouldn't have sex with him was because she wanted to have sex with Jake. Which is a guy she wasnt dating and has never spoken to. Who also has a girlfriend. So..not so out of the box.

Good point, kristenloren. At first, I was a little surprised that she gave them to Ted but then I thought about it more.
Sam is NOT as innocent as she first appears.

As for her going commando, she did have pantyhose on so she wore something under her dress lol.

Lighten up, people. She had made a sort of connection with Farmer Ted, and wanted to do a nice thing for him.

Exactly, and lets not forget she would have had no idea Jake actually liked her if not for Farmer Ted telling her. Farmer Ted also lets Jake how much she likes him when they are talking after the party.

I think she was so grateful for that bit of information that she would have given Farmer Ted just about anything at that point.

When I saw this in Jr high I actually thought it was kind of sweet of her to do that. I mean it could have hurt her reputation. But she did it anyway.
