Tracked this down of eBay to buy the DVD and it is certainly different to what I remember. I was sure Vic came back at the end after leaving but I was obviously wrong. Lol. Certainly different seeing it through adult eyes.
shareYeah, I too watched this years after seeing it as a teenager. It still brings up a munch of light and wonderful feelings. Thant's what's best about this movie: the spirit it projects and the feelings it brings up.
Now, as a teenager I saw this movie voiced-over in another language so I didn't pick up on Tanya's bad acting as much. She is great for this role as far as the visual side of things (including her facial expressions), but her dialog, her voice, her tonality could be better. I think this is why she never made it big (or bigger that she did). Her voice is strage and with strange inflections.
Of course, the plot could have been better too, but it still does the trick. Overall, this is one of those movies you can see a hundred times and never get tired of it (especially if you are a male :) ).
