... or did it die b/c of the bad reception. Croc dundee got a sequel, this should have to!

Ted and Tanya should do a sequel to Sheena. The implied love scene at the end of the movie probably produced a kid. Would be great to see if 'Vic Casey' ever did indeed come back to his love as he promised. On the timeline, their kid would be old enough for a good plot.

The two leads have both stayed very active in the industry. Tanya has a movie coming out and was on That 70s Show and Ted direcs a lot of TV. Come on Ted, direct it and star in it! :o)

"Sheena" had one of the shortest big screen runs I can recall. In and out in two weeks due to bad box office. More people first saw this film on HBO about a year later.

Saw it at xmas 84 or 85 as a kid and it was good back then (hey I didn't even know of nudity or women) I loved Tarzan movies and this was a change with a female lead.

I think given a big budget and a decent director/cast then sure a remake would be good but a sequel no.

Also are people ready for Tarzan/Sheena?

King Kong did alright so we'd need SFX, action and decent storyline.

Maybe turn Sheena into a superhero.

The series bombed too.

Maybe in another ten years time!

I remember around that time HBO showing this because in 1984 I was 12 years old and then if it was shown in 1985 on HBO then I was 13 years old. I can remember seeing this movie going to a neighbors house to watch it.

I mean that was the time when I started to learn about the womens bodies and all including breasts. LOL I did not think the movie was all that bad at that time but it has been a while since I have seen it though.

I mean who knows someone more than likely will pick this up and decide to do a remake and about that time they could have Tanya Roberts playing the mother to Sheena. It is a thought and idea that could be possibly done.

Since the movie flopped they did not. But still if they make a remake or a reboot on the big screen i'd love if Tanya played Sheena's mother this time around, that would be cool.
