Slightly dissapointed with Scream Factory's Blu-ray/DVD combo release.
I am somewhat displeased by Scream Factory when they released "Ninja III The Domination" last summer on a DVD/Blu-ray combo set. I have been a huge fan of this film since I was a kid, and I was enthralled when I first heard that this movie was finally going to be put on DVD by a respectable company. But Scream Factory came up a little short in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the picture, sound quality and the commentary track with director Sam Firstenberg and stunt coordinator Steven Lambert is great, but I was hoping for a little more.
First off, where is the original theatrical trailer? It states on the back of the case that the trailer is included, but is nowhere to be found on either discs. If Scream Factory could not locate a good looking print of the trailer, why even list having it on the back of the case? Even if the trailer looked bad, they should have put it on both discs.
And finally, I think there should have been a 20+ minute restrospective on camera interview with Sam Firstenberg, Steven Lambert, Jordan Bennett and Randy Mulkey. I emailed Jordan Bennett and Randy Mulkey last year prior to this being released and they said to me that they would be happy to do it. They both would have signed off on it. I heard through the grapevine that they could not get Lucinda Dickey (now Lucinda Piligian) to do an interview, but they could have gotten both Mr. Bennett and Mr. Mulkey if they really wanted to. Scream Factory did not go the extra yard.
