Ninja 1 or 2???

I've always wondered, since this was called Ninja 3 the domination, was this film a sequel to something else. I assumed revenge of the Ninja was part 2 so what was part 1? Or did it have to do with the fact that there were 3 ninjas in this movie?

To answer your question:

Enter the Ninja (a.k.a. Ninja 1)

Revenge of the Ninja (a.k.a. Ninja 2)

Ninja 3: The Domination

Thats the order of the trilogy, although the movies are unrelated.

Is 9 Deaths of the Ninja part of this serie too?

reply

No, but you should check it out if you liked this. It's a lot more insane.

You would be correct, though the ninja didn't save her, the girl (Lucinda Dickey) runs into the dying ninja, who gives her his sword and she then becomes possessed by his spirit.

No, Nine Deaths of the Ninja was not a part of this series. It was not made by Canon films.

The first in the Canon series of ninja movies was Enter the Ninja (1981). Next was Revenge of the Ninja (1983), then the third was Ninja III, The Domination. That's why it was called 'Ninja III.'

I always thought "Prey for Death" felt more part of the "Ninja" Series than "Enter the Ninja" did!

That movie was bad ass, and had his son it it, just like "Revenge of the Ninja"!

^Good call. The common thread was Sho Kosugi and his son(s). To me "Enter the Ninja" was the least entertaining of these films. I only watch "Revenge" and "The Domination" and consider "Pray For Death" more of an offshoot.

When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

Agreed, Revenge of the Ninja and Pray for Death are two of Sho's best.

They did a terrible dub of Kosugi's voice in 9 Deaths that really ruined the movie for me.
