I've probably seen The Natural a hundred times and cried every time. If anyone thinks that makes me any less of a man, that's on them.

I didn't cry, but I winced. I try to suspend my disbelief but I've dealt with enough high pressure arc lamps in my day to know that shattering one with a baseball would not trigger the rest to spontaneously explode in a beautiful display of showering sparks that envelops our hero.
