What was in the note that Iris gave to Roy during the last game?

Have never read the novel but was wondering what was in the note that Iris gave to Roy during the last game towards the end of the movie. My assumption was that the note said that Iris' kid was actually Roy's son and that he was at the game watching his father play. Any feedback? am I correct?

When she's giving the note to the usher, you hear her say "His son is watching him" or something similar.

I bought the note in an auction some years ago. I can confirm that it reads:

"I hope you get a touchdown

Love Iris"
